Day 3 Good Stuff

The extra help I received today pushed me over the top and I completed three squeak activities. There were a couple of times I really felt stupid but I didn't give up and finished the fall/slider/joystick/domino activity (with lots of guidance). Then I moved on to the race/siblings activity and with extra help I accomplished it with only one freeze up.

USeit day 2

I find that I am frustrated with my inexperience using squeak. Each activity today required a script and I could not accomplish this task using my own memory once watching the instructors examples. I am having difficultly knowing how to quickly choose the info for my script to excute the programs. I hope I will gain confidence and speed in choosing the correct info for each future activity that is requested. My desire to achieve this experience does exist. My plans are to take a deep breath and give myself room to complete future activities.

Day 1 Stuff

Tried three things today in my squeak workshop.
  • to make an object move forward
  • to make a moving object turn
  • to make a moving object stop moving

Two things I learned today: Try something to see if it will do what you want and if it doesn't, try something else until you achieve what you're wanting to achieve.

My question: Will I catch on to this new technology?
